Mike has served at FBC, North Houston since July, 2014. A native of Texarkana, Tx., Mike received his theological education at Criswell Bible College. Further training comes from 35 plus years of active ministry experience.

Mike’s wife Karla is a graduate of East Texas A&M Commerce where she earned her undergraduate degree as well as her graduate degree in elementary Education. Karla is currently a first grade teacher in the Tomball Elementary. Mike and Karla are blessed with a son and daughter. Their son, Josh, and his wife, Bri and two granddaughters, Estelle and Margot, reside in Bellingham, WA. Their daughter, Jenny, resides in Seattle, Wa.

Mike is a die-hard Texas Longhorn fan and enjoys kayaking, fishing, and watching football, among other activities. A love for people and a commitment to the Word of God is Mike’s heartbeat. Expository preaching, challenging people to be in love with Jesus, and watching people grow in their walk with Him is Mike’s passion!
